NEENAH, Wis. – June 5, 2018 – Associated Bank announces the promotion of Joshua Smith to the role of senior vice president, manager of financial planning and insurance solutions. In addition to Joshua’s most recent position, senior vice president, manager of financial planning, he is now responsible for leading the advanced planning and insurance solutions within the Associated Investment Services (AIS) team and will support the team’s planners, consultants, AIS advisors and insurance planners throughout Associated’s Private Client & Institutional Services footprint.

 

With more than 15 years of banking experience, Smith has been a member of the Associated Bank team since 2003. He holds an MBA and a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in finance and marketing from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. Active in the community, Smith has served as a board member of the City of Neenah Business Improvement District and the Future Neenah Board

 

In addition to Smith’s promotion, Associated’s financial planning and insurance solutions team welcomes three new colleagues.

 

Patrick Rusch has joined Associated Bank as vice president, lead financial planner. He is responsible for providing personalized financial planning, trust and estate planning, insurance and risk management and investment management planning support to high-net-worth (HNW) individuals and families across the entire Associated footprint.

 

Rusch brings more than 10 years of financial planning experience within various financial services organizations serving HNW and ultra HNW clients. He earned his Bachelor of Science in personal finance from the University of Wisconsin. He is a Certified Financial Planner®, Chartered Financial Consultant, and Chartered Life Underwriter.

 

Jeremy Green has joined Associated Bank as vice president, advanced financial planner and insurance solutions consultant. He is responsible for providing broad financial and wealth advisory services to meet the needs of HNW individuals and families throughout the Associated footprint.

 

Green has more than 17 years of wealth management experience. He has held positions in three registered investment advisory firms, the private client services of a large national bank and the bank distribution arm of a life insurance company. In addition, he served in active federal military service in the United States Army in the Republic of Korea from 1996 to 1998. He holds a Master of Science in financial services from The American College and a Bachelor of Arts in journalism from the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities.

 

George Brownell has joined Associated Bank as relationship manager, lead financial planner. He is responsible for assisting clients reach their financial goals.

 

Brownell has more than 25 years of financial experience. Most recently, he held the position of financial advisor at Robert W. Baird & Co. Before that he held roles at Union Pacific Railroad. He holds an MBA in Accounting and Finance from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Colby College. In the community, he is currently president of the breakfast rotary in Neenah and serves as the executive vice president for the Neenah-Menasha YMCA.
