NEENAH, Wis. – May 2, 2013 – Associated Bank has promoted Philip Gatien and Joshua Smith to positions of vice president in its Private Client and Institutional Services. Both were previously assistant vice presidents.
Gatien, whose new title is vice president, relationship manager, consults with private companies and not-for-profit organizations, helping them create employee retirement plans. He also works with the employees of those companies, assisting them with their retirement planning, financial education, investments and estate planning. He has more than 18 years of financial industry experience and has been with Associated since 2006. Gatien is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin – Oshkosh and also holds the Certificate of Completion for Pension Administrators from the American Society of Pension Actuaries.
Smith, whose new title is vice president, personal trust relationship manager, provides personalized financial planning, trust and estate planning, insurance and risk management, and investment services for high net worth individuals. He has been with Associated since 2003, having also worked as a branch manager and investment advisor. He is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin – Oshkosh, and is a Certified Financial Planner and Certified Trust and Financial Advisor. Smith currently serves as president of Neenah Downtown Business Improvement District (BID) and is a member of the board of directors of Future Neenah.
