Associated Bank recently broadened its commercial banking team in Chicago with the following new hires.
RELATIONSHIP MANAGERS
Phil Chen has joined Associated Bank as senior vice president, relationship manager, commercial banking. He is responsible for relationship management and business development. Chen brings 10 years of commercial banking experience to Associated Bank. Previously, he was with the Bank of China and led the mid/large-corporate team covering the Midwest footprint for four years. He holds bachelor’s degrees in finance and entrepreneurship from Indiana University.
Jamillah Pointer has joined Associated Bank as senior vice president, relationship manger, commercial banking. Pointer brings over 20 years of experience in commercial banking, organizational leadership and financial/credit analysis for companies of all sizes. She holds a degree in finance from DePaul University and is currently an MBA candidate at Johns Hopkins Carey Business School. In the community, she’s an active mentor for Chicago Public School students.
Ian Ormseth has joined Associated Bank as vice president, relationship manager, commercial banking. He is responsible for relationship management and business development. Ormseth brings 10 years of commercial banking experience to Associated Bank. Previously, he was with Wintrust in various roles in portfolio and relationship management. He holds a bachelor’s degree from University of St. Thomas. He currently serves as a member of the Lincoln Park Zoo Auxiliary Board.
PORTFOLIO MANAGERS
Tom Greene has joined Associated Bank as vice president, portfolio manager, commercial banking. He is responsible for managing a diversified book of commercial and industrial relationships while supporting growth in the market. Greene brings nearly 15 years of commercial banking experience to Associated Bank. Most recently he was a senior associate with Newpoint Advisors where he focused on advisory services to financially underperforming small businesses. Prior, he was with CIBC Bank (previously The Private Bank) where he worked as an analyst in the commercial & industrial space before spending time as an associated director in special loans. Greene graduated with a degree in finance from Loyola University. In the community, he is a seventh-year volunteer with Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) as a LadderUp tax preparation volunteer.
John Schellinger has joined Associated Bank as vice president, portfolio manager, commercial banking. He is responsible for managing a book of commercial and industrial relationships while supporting the growth of Chicago’s commercial loan portfolio. Previously, he was with BMO Harris, where he spent 10 years in various roles, most recently as a portfolio manager. He holds degrees in finance and accounting from UW-Madison. In the community, he volunteers with Red Cross and is a member of the Chicago Council of Global Affairs.
Aditi Shah has joined Associated Bank as vice president, portfolio manager, commercial banking. She is responsible for managing a diversified book of commercial and industrial relationships while supporting loan portfolio growth. Shah brings eight years of commercial banking experience to Associated Bank. Previously, she was with Citizens Financial Group in their mid-corporate division. Shah holds a finance degree from the University of Pittsburgh.
