The Latino Entrepreneurial Network (LEN) of Southeastern Wisconsin recognized Associated Bank’s Joe Hughes with the volunteer of the year recognition, at their 16th Annual Exito Awards, for his commitment to assist entrepreneurs and his passion for community service.

Associated is a key partner of LEN’s entrepreneurial digital training and financial training programs that focuses on numerous business topics to empower low-income and underserved individuals and business owners in the Milwaukee community. Hughes has been invited to numerous panels to provide his guidance and expertise on small business to entrepreneurs in LEN’s learning cohort program. He also worked with one of the cohorts and provided guidance on building lending credit for their businesses and how to prepare to ask for financing.

“I have enjoyed working with our local entrepreneurs in the Milwaukee Latino community and am blown away by their enthusiasm and willingness to learn, grow and put into action our advice about small business best practices,” said Hughes.

The mission of LEN is to promote entrepreneurial awareness and education through bilingual coaching, professional development, and networking.

Congratulations to Joe for being recognized as volunteer of the year.
