Military Times announced its 2022 Best for Vets: Employers rankings today and for the sixth consecutive year, Associated Bank made the list.

Associated supports veterans and military personnel through a variety of benefits, such as leave time and retention of benefits and full pay for colleagues on training and active military leave. In addition, the Deployment Trip Program provides financial assistance to colleagues visiting an immediate family member at their deployment site.

“At Associated Bank we are committed to advancing veteran hiring and actively supporting veterans in our communities through a variety of benefits and our Veterans Colleague Resource Group (CRG),” said Dennis DeLoye, head of community markets and Northeast Wisconsin regional president and Veterans CRG executive sponsor, Associated Bank. “We are honored to be recognized by Military Times for the sixth consecutive year and will continue to enhance our efforts in employing veterans.”

Associated’s Veterans CRG provides a network for military veterans within Associated to collaborate on important issues facing the organization and the personal and professional development of its members. The group leverages the knowledge and experience of its membership to create awareness of the contributions of military veterans at Associated and in the communities they serve.

Last year, Military Times collaborated with Fors Marsh to update the research methodology and analysis from previous years to provide a streamlined, user-friendly survey experience for participants. The survey captures the areas of greatest importance to transitioning service members, veterans, and their families when looking for an employer. Recruitment and employment practices, as well as retention and support programs, were given the most weight and importance in scoring and final rankings.

“Military Times continues to set the standard for employer rankings for transitioning service members and veterans. Although often imitated, there is no other list that comes close to Best for Vets: Employers,” said Mort Greenberg, SVP of media solutions at Military Times. “We stand by the rigor and soundness of this survey, which spotlights companies’ employment programs that help transitioning service members excel in their post-military careers.”

In its 13th year, Military Times Best for Vets: Employers rankings are based on the results of a voluntary survey that covered the policies and practices that make companies an attractive place to work for current employees and future job seekers within the military community.

Associated is among 175 companies nationwide to make the list.
