Our Nation has relied heavily on Guard and Reserve Service members since entering continuous operations more than 14 years ago. Employer support enhances retention rates in the Armed Forces and, in the end, strengthens our national security. To recognize employers who support their Guard and Reserve employees, Employer Support of the Guard Reserve (ESGR) grants a series of Department of Defense awards.
Jennifer Ray, senior talent acquisition consultant, Associated Bank, was recently awarded the Seven Seals Award by ESGR. Ray has been a state volunteer since 2016, serving as an advocate for employer outreach. In 2021, she served as vice chair for the organization.
“I am honored to receive this recognition and work for a company that places such a huge emphasis on veteran hiring and supports the men and women who serve America in the National Guard and Reserve,” said Ray.
The Seven Seals Award is the broadest and most inclusive award given by ESGR and is presented at the discretion of the State Chair or by ESGR senior leadership. It is presented in recognition of significant individual or organizational achievement, initiative, or support that promotes and supports the ESGR mission, to include the efforts of the more than 4,500 volunteers who carry out ESGR’s mission across the Nation on a daily basis.
