GREEN BAY, Wis.—February 2, 2021—Brown County United Way has elected four new area community leaders to serve on its board of directors for a three-year term beginning in 2021.
Angie DeWitt is the executive vice president and chief human resources officer at Associated Bank. In addition to bringing her expertise in human resources, DeWitt is excited to share her strong passion for servant leadership and being a positive role model for women leaders in the community.
Joel Hansen is the chief financial officer for Pomp’s Tire Service. Prior to being elected to the United Way’s board of directors he served on the organization’s Basic Needs and Self Sufficiency Impact Council and is currently a member of the Finance Committee.
Eric Peterson is director of NetAssist, a division of Camera Corner. He is excited to join the Brown County United Way board of directors to not only offer his information technology expertise, but to be a champion for its mission of uniting people, ideas and resources to create community solutions that strengthen every person and every community in Brown County.
Jessie Stauffacher is president and CEO of CONNECT, powered by American Family Insurance. Stauffacher says she’s excited to join Brown County United Way’s board because of its unique role in providing thought leadership and funding for services and programming for people in the community who need access to health services, education, financial security and community connections.

The role of Brown County United Way’s board of directors is to provide visioning, direction setting and results accountability. The board represents United Way in the community, brings the public voice to the organization’s decision-making, and upholds stewardship and accountability to maintain the trust of the community.
Brown County United Way strives for an inclusive community where all individuals are able to meet their basic needs and have equal opportunity for stability in their health, education and financial well-being. It is currently focused on achieving its community goal of 10,000 individuals on the path to stability in ten years.
Board members whose terms ended at the end of 2020 are Paul Wochinske of Pomp’s Tire Service, Lisa Jossart of CONNECT, powered by American Family Insurance, and Dennis Grusnick, community member.
