Associated Bank in Northern Wisconsin recently donated a charitable grant of $10,000 to The BRICK Ministries Inc., a nonprofit organization serving low-income residents in Ashland and Bayfield Counties. The donation helps fund the organization’s Benevolence Program, which offers emergency financial assistance for overdue rent and utilities, referrals to partner agencies, and motel vouchers to the homeless.
“We are thrilled to partner with The BRICK Ministries as a way to demonstrate our commitment to the less fortunate in our community,” said Crystal Mattson, assistant bank manager, Associated Bank. "Our funding came at a crucial time, enabling the organization to continue this important community program.”
In 2018, the Benevolence Program assisted more than 1,000 individuals, providing $69,000 in emergency financial assistance and referrals for community members in need. Over 30% of those served were children.
