Dan Hinman, branch manager in Hayward, Wis., was recently named “Volunteer of the Year” by the Hayward Area Chamber of Commerce. Associated Bank was also among the finalists for the organization’s Small Business of the Year award.

The award was presented during the chamber’s annual Membership Awards Dinner on November 7, where they celebrated its members and 2019 accomplishments, and honored individuals and organizations in six categories. The Volunteer of the Year award is given to one individual for their exemplary contributions to the community through volunteerism.

Hinman has served on the Board of Directors for Rumble on the Lake for the past seven years and the Sawyer County/Lac Courte Oreilles Economic Development Corporation since 2017. He also recently joined the Northlakes Community Clinic Advisory Committee and has given hundreds of hours of his time to volunteer at events for 15 different community organizations throughout 2019.

“I’ve known Dan for over 20 years and his commitment to the community has been truly remarkable to witness,” said Chris Hofer, Associated Bank, who recommended Dan for the award. “He has a passion to see our wonderful area flourish and accomplishes that goal any way he can. His impact has been felt by each and every one of these groups and they will undoubtedly continue to benefit from his service. I could think of no better recipient of this award.”
