Associated Bank recently sponsored the 10th annual Woodlawn Community Summit held at the University Of Chicago School Of Social Service Administration on March 16.
The event focused on improving the growth of the Woodlawn community and well-being of its residents. With leadership from the South East Chicago Commission, attendance has grown to more than 500 neighborhood residents, business owners, local elected leaders and volunteers.
Tiffany Odeh, community accountability officer, Associated Bank, welcomed attendees and spoke about Associated’s Community Commitment Plan and how the bank is giving back to the communities it serves.
Other activities included an economic development panel, bus tours of historic Chicago south side area neighborhoods and workshops on safety, sustainability, housing and youth engagement.
“The Summit was a great opportunity for Associated Bank to highlight our commitment to increasing stronger relationships within Bronzeville and surrounding south side communities,” said Paula Grantt, business development support officer for Associated Bank and Woodlawn Summit committee member and event coordinator.
