Jay Sodey, senior vice president and district manager, was recently recognized by In Business magazine as a 40 Under 40 award honoree. The annual program honors 40 of the most successful and civic-minded young professionals under the age of 40 in the Greater Madison area.
With nearly 15 years of finance experience, Sodey has been an impactful leader at Associated Bank since joining the organization in 2005. Recently, Sodey lead the efforts to launch the Cultural Awareness Network (CAN) colleague resource group in the Madison offices. CAN works to develop a healthy awareness of cultural differences both within Associated branches and in the diverse Madison community at large.
“Associated Bank has been extremely supportive of my leadership and career development,” said Sodey. “The growth culture that I’ve been able to help develop not only cultivates future leaders within our organization but also results in an even more positive experience for our customers.”
Sodey serves on the boards of Junior Achievement of Wisconsin in Dane County Area and Dane County United Way. He also routinely volunteers at local United Way sponsored organizations, including the Lacy Gardens in Fitchburg and Second Harvest.
“I continue to marvel each and every year at how many driven young professionals we have in the Greater Madison area,” said Jon Konarske, publisher, In Business magazine. “This year’s class has already made an enormous impact in their relatively short careers, and we are all in great hands as they continue to impact and leave their mark on this community for many years to come.”
