The Wisconsin Bankers Foundation (WBF) recently recognized Associated Bank at the Excellence in Financial Education awards on November 14 to honor Associated’s outstanding financial education efforts.
Julie Murphy, operations specialist at Associated Bank, earned the Certificate of Excellence Award for giving over 20 financial education presentations throughout the past year and demonstrating superior dedication to improving financial literacy in local communities.
An additional 16 Associated Bank colleagues also received recognition for contributing their time and talent to the community.
“At Associated Bank we recognize the importance of financial literacy,” said Murphy. “Through providing this education, I hope to strengthen the quality of life in the communities we serve.
In addition, Christopher Piotrowski, chief marketing officer at Associated Bank, serves on the WBF board and Christopher Del Moral-Niles, chief financial officer at Associated Bank, serves on the board for the Wisconsin Bankers Association.
“Consumer education is an important part of banking, no matter what the banker's role is at their institution," said WBF Board Chair Rose Oswald Poels, president and CEO of the Wisconsin Bankers Association. "We commend Associated Bank and its colleagues for their dedication and commitment to improving financial education not only for the benefit of individual consumers, but also the community as a whole.”
