Associated Bank has a strong history of female leaders who have identified and pursued opportunities to help the organization and our communities succeed. In recognition of the company’s valued female colleagues and their efforts, Associated Bank partners with organizations such as the Women’s Fund, whose mission is to advance equity for women.

As a result of this partnership, at the Women’s Fund of Greater Green Bay’s annual Power of the Purse event, Judy Docter, chief human resources officer at Associated Bank, presented the Associated Bank Women of Legacy Fund in memory of a long-tenured colleague who was an advocate for women’s issues.

Through a $40,000 initial donation, the Associated Bank Women of Legacy Fund recognizes the work Pat O’Keefe and many Associated colleagues have dedicated toward helping women succeed. The fund will be used to further leadership initiatives for women and girls in the Greater Green Bay community and also allows any company or individual the opportunity to make a gift in honor or memory of the women leaders who have inspired them.

In addition, Associated Bank was the signature sponsor of the recent Women’s Fund of Greater Milwaukee’s annual event, The Power of Philanthropy. Marilka Velez, senior vice president and marketing services senior manager at Associated Bank, serves on the board of directors and gave the opening remarks at the event.

The Women’s Fund of Greater Milwaukee provides essential funding to area nonprofits, generates awareness of important issues that impact women and provides HER Scholarships to non-traditional female students studying to earn their first Bachelor Degrees.

“Associated Bank is proud to support the personal development, professional advancement and overall well-being of women within Associated and our local communities,” said Docter. “All of us connected with the Women’s Fund hold special memories of women who have inspired us.”

In addition to corporate giving, a number of colleagues give of their time in multiple capacities for Women’s Fund organizations across Wisconsin, including board of director positions and additional volunteer roles.
