PORTAGE, Wis. - Feb. 25, 2013 - In recognition of her service to the banking industry, Marilyn J. McReath, of Associated Bank, Portage, was inducted into the Wisconsin Bankers Association's (WBA) 50 Year Club.
McReath was honored at the WBA Executives Conference in Milwaukee, the largest banking event in Wisconsin, on Feb. 5, 2013. McReath was recognized along with twelve other club inductees for extraordinary service to Wisconsin's financial industry by nearly 300 banking leaders.
"Marilyn's loyalty and positive attitude made her the type of employee any company would dream of having," said Corie Baxter, Teller Supervisor at Portage. "We're proud of her induction into the Wisconsin Bankers Association's 50 Year Club and wish her all the best in retirement."
McReath started her career in banking in 1962 as a bookkeeper with First National Bank. She assumed many roles within the bank, including working in the proof department and servicing the safe deposit boxes. She most recently served as senior teller and retired from the bank on December 31, 2012.
