Associated Bank locations in Central and Northern Wisconsin collectively raised $1,259 for breast cancer prevention through Marshfield Clinic’s Pink Ribbon Campaign for the Catherine Fonti Breast Cancer Angel Fund.
The Angel Fund provides mammograms and other breast cancer prevention services to Marshfield Clinic patients who are struggling financially.
This is the second year Associated participated in selling pink paper ribbons to customers. Participating branches included: Abbotsford, Ashland, Crandon, Eagle River, Hayward, Hurley, Marshfield, Marshfield Festival Foods, Medford County Market, Mercer, Merrill, Minocqua, Mosinee Piggly Wiggly, Neillsville, Park Falls, Pittsville, Plover, Rhinelander, Rothschild Cedar Creek, Stevens Point, Wausau Downtown, Wausau Main, Weston, Wisconsin Rapids and Wittenberg.
“We are thankful to Associated Bank and their colleagues for again participating in the pink ribbon campaign and helping to raise awareness around breast cancer,” said Brooke Wolff, stewardship coordinator, Marshfield Clinic.
This winter’s donation helped create awareness for breast cancer prevention and further demonstrated Associated’s strong commitment to women’s health. Associated donated $250,000 to Marshfield Clinic for its Mobile Mammography Unit in 2012.
“We learned that the Angel Fund was depleted greatly over the summer because of the overwhelming need in our communities,” said Theresa O’Neel, senior branch manager, Associated Bank in Marshfield. “It’s great to know that our colleagues’ work will help ensure those in need receive potentially lifesaving services.”
