MILWAUKEE – November 2, 2015 – During November, Associated Bank and the Associated Veterans Network (AVN), a colleague resource group that provides a network for military veterans within the company, will be recognizing and honoring veterans and active-duty military personnel across its footprint in Wisconsin, Minnesota and Illinois. Customers, community members, colleagues, family members and friends who are veterans or active-duty military personnel will be encouraged to bring in photos of themselves in uniform or other military mementos for display in the Associated Bank branch lobbies.
When the recognition program concludes at the end of November, a team of Associated Bank colleagues will select a top branch display in each state from submitted photos. Associated will donate a total of $8,000 to support American Legion Post programming in each of the three communities with the best veterans-appreciation branch displays.
“Associated Bank is honored to recognize our veterans and military personnel for their service and sacrifice,” said Philip B. Flynn, Associated president and CEO. “We are proud to generate community engagement through this recognition program and contribute to the American Legion Posts in our three core states.”
“The AVN is pleased to support this veterans recognition program,” said Patrick Derpinghaus, chief audit executive and AVN executive sponsor. “We are dedicated to building awareness of the contributions of military colleagues and community members.”
