Associated Banc-Corp continues to grow its Milwaukee area team
MILWAUKEE - September 26, 2011 - Associated Banc-Corp's commercial banking division continues to grow with the promotion or hiring of four new leaders in the greater Milwaukee area.
John Verthein has been promoted to senior vice president, senior relationship manager where he is responsible for growing and managing a portfolio of banking customers while enhancing customer relationships. Verthein has been with Associated since September 2004 serving as a vice president, relationship manager. Prior to that, he worked for USBank. Verthein holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin - Madison, and a master's in business administration from the University of Wisconsin - Whitewater.
TJ Gannon has been promoted to vice president, portfolio manager where he is responsible for growing and managing a portfolio of banking customers while enhancing customer relationships. He joined Associated in 2008 as an assistant vice president. He holds a bachelor's degree from Marquette University.
Casey Wendt has been promoted to vice president, portfolio manager middle market banking division in commercial banking. He is responsible for underwriting, credit monitoring and portfolio management of commercial banking relationships. He joined Associated in August 2007, and brings more than 10 years of experience to the position. Wendt holds a bachelor's degree from Lakeland College.
Stephen Szpak has joined Associated as vice president, portfolio manager where he is responsible for underwriting, credit monitoring and portfolio management of commercial banking relationships. He comes to Associated from Aurora Health Care where he was a senior financial analyst. Szpak earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee and his master's in business administration from Marquette University.
