Green Bay, Wis. – November 12, 2014 – Local resident, Denise Luby, was up and ready by 6:00 a.m. to hit the road from Green Bay all the way to Door County in search of Aaron Rodgers’ missing wallet. The lost wallet is part of a fan engagement and United Way donation program sponsored by Associated Bank.

Clues posted on Associated’s Facebook and Twitter sites hinted Denise to search at the Door County Bakery. Accompanied by her daughter, Bridgette, Denise said the two of them searched the place from top to bottom. “After an intense 30-40 minute search, we found the wallet,” she said.

For finding the wallet, Denise and Bridgette will be invited to an exclusive Associated Bank-hosted event in December where they will have the opportunity to meet and mingle with the Packers’ star quarterback at Lambeau Field. Denise, Bridgette, and other Wisconsin winners will also receive autographed merchandise and have a photo opportunity with Rodgers.

Both Denise and Bridgette are excited for the opportunity to meet Rodgers. Denise explained that she has been a huge fan ever since he was drafted back in 2005. She was proudly wearing his jersey when he was a backup quarterback to Brett Favre.

“Being given the chance to meet Aaron motivated my daughter and me to participate in this contest,” said Denise. “We thought it would be the perfect opportunity because we love scavenger hunts and we love Aaron.”

“When my mom and I found the wallet, we smiled ear to ear and hugged each other,” Bridgette said. “Even if we didn't find the wallet that day, we would’ve had great memories of laughing and trying to solve the clues.”

Approximately 100 Rodgers’ wallets will be lost and await finding at Associated branches and other prominent locations throughout the state until the middle of November. At the conclusion of the activity, Associated will donate $10,000 to the United Way.

Comparable fan engagement activities are underway in Wisconsin and Minnesota where Associated operates branches and offers a wide range of financial services. The Winning Wallets program was launched at the October 2 Green Bay vs. Minnesota game where 28 wallets were hidden under fans’ stadium seats. Fans were urged to search for the wallets through a Tundra Vision video, Winning Wallets.

Associated Bank has been the bank of the Green Bay Packers since 1919. It recently released a video, Together, celebrating the historic rivalry between the pro football teams in Wisconsin, Illinois and Minnesota.
