Associated Bank teams up with Feeding America for 25,000 meal telecast

Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin launched its third annual Food for the Holidays campaign in November, along with Associated Bank, to achieve a million meal mission to provide 1,000,000 meals to people struggling with hunger in eastern Wisconsin.

Associated colleague volunteers recently participated in a telecast at the Green Bay Service Center, with Feeding America and WFRV Channel 5, hosted by Erin Davisson. Viewers of the phone bank telecast pledged enough money to provide 34,175 meals to those in need in Eastern Wisconsin. This year’s phone bank total was 3,000 more meals than last year.

330,000 people in eastern Wisconsin rely on food supplied by Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin each year. The food bank is the largest, private, nonprofit distributor of food in the state. Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin distributes more than 18 million pounds of food annually to 1,000 food pantries, meal programs and shelters throughout eastern Wisconsin. Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin is a member of Feeding America which is consistently ranked as one of the most efficient charities, out of the country’s 100 largest charities, by Forbes magazine.
