Marshfield Clinic for new mobile mammography unit Associated Bank announced on October 19 a $250,000 donation to Marshfield Clinic for the addition of a new mobile mammography unit launching in 2013. The unit will ultimately help provide early detection of breast cancer to more than 10,000 Wisconsin women annually.

“At Associated we believe our communities are better places to live and work as a result of combined efforts of individuals and businesses working together to reach their full potential,” said John Baur, Community Bank President, Associated Bank.

“Partnering with Associated furthers the mission of Marshfield Clinic to deliver high-quality accessible healthcare to everyone in the communities we serve,” said Dr. Brian Ewert, Marshfield Clinic President and CEO. “With Associated’s support of our mobile services, the current cancer screening program will expand. Individual patients benefit by finding the disease sooner, which gives them a better opportunity for a cure. We all benefit by living in healthier communities.”

Associated and Marshfield Clinic continue to build on a strong relationship. Associated has contributed more than $607,000 to the Marshfield Clinic to support a wide-range of medical research, patient and community centered priorities. In addition to supporting the most recent mobile mammography project, Associated has supported major capital campaigns, a broad spectrum of research, a wide range of special events and community-focused efforts.

“We strive to meet our community’s local needs by becoming involved with great organizations such as Marshfield Clinic, and lend a helpful hand to address the challenges our communities face,” said Baur.

An announcement event was held at the Marshfield Associated Bank location. Representatives from Associated and Marshfield Clinic announced the new mobile mammography unit. Key community leaders were present including Senator Terry Moulton-23rd Senate District, and Scott Larson, Executive Director at Marshfield Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Select Associated Bank retail locations in Wisconsin are also selling pink ribbons for $1 through November 30. All proceeds benefit the Marshfield Clinic mobile mammography units.
