On Monday, April 15, Associated Bank was recognized by Marshfield Clinic at their 2013 Spirit of Giving event, with an Outstanding Philanthropic Organization award.
Associated has contributed more than $600,000 to Marshfield Clinic through campaigns, research and events like Mike’s Run and the Auction of Champions. This includes the most recent gift of $250,000 in 2012 for a mobile mammography unit, the third in the clinic’s fleet.
“Associated Bank’s commitment will ensure this third mobile unit will be on the road in just a few weeks and will ultimately help us provide early detection of breast cancer to more than 10,000 Wisconsin women annually,” said Teri Wilczek, chief development officer, Marshfield Clinic.
Other recognitions at the event included the Outstanding Volunteer Fundraising award to Rich Seubert and his family, and the Legacy of Philanthropy award to Dr. Dean Emanuel and his wife, Lorrie.
“Associated Bank prioritizes its donation categories with the greatest long-term preventive impact on social and health conditions,” said John Baur, community bank president, Associated Bank. “We could not have picked a greater cause that meets these criteria than breast cancer.”
