The SW Marching Trojans perform at several community fundraisers in addition to their field shows, including the Walk to End Alzheimer's and the Heart Walk! This spring they'll be headed to Orlando, Fla. with the rest of the music department to play in a Disney Performance workshop.
Favorite/best piece to perform: Big Spender
How the band will benefit from a grant:
The band will be using this year's grant money to purchase new music stands and to add percussion shelving to the band room, which will allow the drumline to keep their equipment organized and all in the same location with their drum harnesses.
Drop off canned food items and support Green Bay Southwest High School in their pursuit of a $2,000 grant.
Time / Date: Saturday, October 27 from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Location: Lambeau Field parking lot at the corner of Lombardi Ave. and Ridge Rd., Green Bay
Schedule of events
- 10 a.m.: Community members are invited to begin dropping off food in support of their favorite school
- 11 a.m.: Autograph session with a Packers alumni and high school band pep rally
- 12:45 p.m.: Local leaders will announce the school with the largest food collection pile
