In February, several Commercial Real Estate colleagues rolled up their sleeves to help Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin distribute food through their Mobile Food Pantry at Jewish Family Services Bradly Crossing in Brown Deer, Wis.
Established in 2013, the Mobile Pantry Program brings healthy and nutritious foods directly to families and individuals facing hunger in areas of high need. This method of delivery expands Feeding America’s capacity to distribute food and removes barriers that prevent access to underserved areas.
Throughout the day Associated Bank colleagues helped to secure the mobile pantry donations and carry them to the Bradly Crossing residents’ apartments. Donations included much needed items such as potatoes, canned goods, water, and frozen meats. A total of 4,204 pounds of food were distributed serving 113 households and 172 individuals.
“It was most rewarding to help people in real need and feel the gratitude they expressed as we assisted them with loading their groceries,” said Michael Finn, CRE senior regional manager, Associated Bank.
“It made us realize how fortunate we are to access a grocery store whenever we need,” added Colleen Muszynski, CRE deposit services representative.
Associated Bank is committed to strengthening our relationships with Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin and Jewish Family Services through our volunteer efforts.
