In addition to making a traditional United Way Campaign pledge, Associated Bank colleagues at the Chicago Monroe, AON and Devon offices participated in a unique project to stock boxes with toiletry supplies for the blind and visually impaired.

The Stock The Box™ campaign kicked-off on September 12 when Associated Bank colleagues filled boxes with essential supplies, such as dental supplies, shampoo, razors, hand cream, and more. A total of 130 stocked boxes were donated to Friedman Place to support their residents this year.

“Associated Bank is proud to support Friedman Place by providing needed supplies to help the blind and visually impaired,” said Scott Hickey, chief credit officer and United Way corporate campaign chair at Associated Bank. “We are committed to strengthening our communities through giving campaigns and employee volunteerism efforts.”

“Associated Bank’s volunteers have supported numerous events for Friedman in the past,” said Mary Haley, deposit services manager who organized the drive in Chicago along with Ian Kay, senior bank manager. “Stock the Box allowed us to give back to an organization which we grew a very personal relationship with and it was reflected in the residents’ appreciation for the gifts we gave them,” added Haley.

“Friedman Place is grateful for the time, energy and supplies that Associated Bank colleagues have contributed to our residents,” said Alexander Brown, executive director of Friedman Place. “They always know how to make our residents smile.”

Comparable activities are underway throughout Wisconsin, Illinois and Minnesota where Associated operates branches and offers a wide range of financial services.
