Associated Bank colleagues recently came together to help out 92-year-old Emma Hayes, an Associated Bank customer, at her Rebuilding Together house.
Rebuilding Together strengthens the lives of those in our most vulnerable communities by providing low-income homeowners with critical home repairs, accessibility modifications and energy-efficient upgrades. Its local affiliates and nearly 100,000 volunteers complete approximately 10,000 rebuild projects each year and help to stabilize and revitalize neighborhoods across the country.
Colleagues assisted Emma with several projects around the property, including exterior painting; planting; general yard work; and installation of new windows, front-entry steps and bathroom grab bars.
“This was a great experience,” said John Krueger, branch manager. “The family was grateful for everything we did for Emma.”
“As the project manager, I was responsible for finding volunteers,” Krueger added. “I was thrilled to see so many local colleagues from different lines of business come together to make a difference in the community.”
