Numerous Associated Bank colleagues from the Rockford area recently volunteered with the Discovery Center Museum — which offers a fun and educational experience for children through exhibits, workshops, crafts and experiments.
Relationship banker, Gabriel Chappell, reflected on his volunteerism with the museum. “My experience was phenomenal,” said Chappell. “To be able to assist with a community asset like the Discovery Center brings a greater sense of ownership and pride to any future visits my family and I take.”
Volunteer coordinator for the Discovery Center Museum, Sue Stevens, sent the below note of thanks to Thomas Kress, community bank president at Associated, following the volunteer event.
“I just wanted to say a BIG thank you to you and your colleagues for all the hard work you put in this morning at Discovery Center Museum. The outdoor park looks fantastic and we really appreciates all the help getting chemicals ready for classes and Easter eggs cut for next week’s art studio project. Enjoy the picture I’ve attached. We would love to host your group again!”
“I want to thank all those who volunteered,” said Kress. “Your efforts were greatly appreciated and the kids will enjoy the fruits of your labor. Well done everyone!”
“Volunteering is a true measure of an individual or organizations commitment to their community, said Chappell. “What better to give than your time?”
