Sixteen Associated Bank branch managers in the Twin Cities area spent an afternoon volunteering at Keystone Community Services.
Keystone Community Services is a community-based human service organization in St. Paul, Minnesota, offering a variety of human service programs for all ages. Their mission is to strengthen the capacity of individuals and families to improve their quality of life.
Colleagues cleaned the parking lot and grounds of Keystone Community food shelf, which provides food and other necessities to individuals year-round. These use a “client choice” system, giving eligible individuals the opportunity to select food according to their families’ needs.
Colleagues also built raised vegetable garden boxes and put mulch around them to contribute to the organization’s goal of growing fresh food.
“As a district, we made the decision to donate our time every-other-month to give back to the communities that we serve,” said Anna Dosen, market executive, Associated Bank. “In the case of Keystone, not only were we able to give back to the community, but also a long-time customer of ours. It has been fun to see the management team connect in a fun, collaborative way while performing community service.”
