Each year, the United Way of Goodhue, Wabasha, & Pierce Counties selects volunteers to be recognized for their outstanding commitment to living United. This year, those honorees included Liz Diggins, senior sales and support specialist at Associated Bank.

"I was very surprised and not expecting the award at all,” said Diggins. “I am passionate about helping children and fighting childhood hunger and our local Packing for the Weekend Program is one that is very easy to support and promote in our communities we serve. We have worked to grow and build the program so it effectively reaches the children who need the help the most.”

As a member of the local United Way board, Diggins said Associated Bank has gone above and beyond in countless ways to support the efforts of the United Way to build a stronger community. Whether it was extended board membership, program support, or feeding hundreds of hungry kids in the area, Diggins said this is the embodiment of what it means to be committed to community.
