Recently, Associated Bank’s Rockford location showed some great community spirit by showing up for the 2014 Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk at Rock Valley College in Rockford, Illinois.

The team, consisting of associated investment services (AIS), personal bankers, community market managers, tellers, security, and the Illinois community president, along with friends and families, did not let the cold weather stop them from showing their support and contributing $625 to the campaign. More funds will be added in the future when all fundraiser collections are complete.

After being deeply affected by the impact of Breast Cancer, Barbara Walk, sales assistant, associated bank investment services, decided to bring the plea to colleagues by inviting them to join in walking. Colleagues answered the call, bringing the number of participants to 22, up from last year’s eight.

“We may be just a small force with a big task, but we are making a difference one step at a time when we join forces in our team “Footprints for the Cure,” said Walk.
