Associated Bank’s strategy, marketing, communication and community colleagues recently helped set up daunting decorations for the NEW Zoo & Adventure Park.
With shovels and hammers in hand, Green Bay colleagues devoted their time to prepare for the Zoo Boo haunted experience during United Way’s “Days of Caring” — an annual volunteerism event participated in throughout the community.
"As we were all working as a team to put together the haunted grave yard, I was thinking of all the people that would be enjoying it as part of the Zoo Boo," said volunteer Gina Frease, marketing and communications concierge. "And in turn, the money raised will help in supporting the zoo’s future."
The NEW Zoo is one of only seven Association of Zoos & Aquariums (AZA) accredited in the country that does not receive local or regional tax support as part of its annual operating budget.
"Volunteering with the Zoo Boo was a great opportunity to become better acquainted with my colleagues, benefit an organization that will in turn raise money for their programming and support Associated’s volunteerism efforts," said volunteer Jennifer Kaminski, Associated Bank’s public relations manager.
The colleagues are looking forward to continuing their volunteer efforts with the United Way and are excited to get involved with many other events to come.
