Associated Bank colleagues in default services in Stevens Point recently held their 2nd Annual Golf Outing at the Stevens Point Country Club.
Funds raised totaled $4,700, including a very generous donation from Fiserv for $3,000. Last year’s event raised $1,400. All proceeds went to the United Way of Portage County.
“The first golf outing was such a great success last year that I just had to organize it again,” said Jess Konietzki, collections supervisor, commercial and consumer banking at the Stevens Point Service Center. ”The golf outing was a perfect opportunity to enjoy a round of golf with colleagues and support our community partner, the United Way of Portage County, and the important work they do in the community.”
Participants included Associated Bank’s Stevens Point Service Center colleagues and friends. The first-place team comprised of Brad Davis, brand operations support specialist, Alex Molski, friend of Brad Davis, Nathan Schnell, asset recovery coordinator, and Andy Weiss, former collections rep. Konietzki’s team included himself, Karl Yeager, vendor for default services, Dustin Smith, friend of Konietzki, and Pete Laux, asset recovery manager — who won second place.
Colleagues are actively engaged in the charitable process to help identify nonprofit organizations and causes that best address the unique needs of communities across Associated’s footprint. Associated encourages and supports colleague volunteerism efforts by providing the internal resources that help connect colleagues with the nonprofit organizations that meet their personal passion for community involvement.
“One of our most important values at Associated is giving back to the community—and that was our purpose in hosting this event,” said Konietzki. “We hope to continue fundraising for the United Way for years to come.”
