Associated Bank recently sponsored the Inspirational Player of the Year Award at the Wisconsin Sports Awards (WSA), an ESPN program honoring athletes of all skill levels — from high school and college levels to the pros, in Milwaukee.
The award was presented to Ebony Nettles-Bay, a 16-year-old basketball player from Verona High School who is battling cancer and hasn’t let her illness or treatments keep her off the courts. Her story inspired the nation recently when she was invited to meet her NBA hero, Miami Heat forward LeBron James.
The event included athletes Aaron Rodgers, Eddie Lacy and Bo Ryan, along with coach Mike McCarthy.
Media coverage, including photo galleries, of the awards on local Fox 6 and in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. You can also learn more about the WSA program on the ESPN website.
