Associated Bank recently announced contributions totaling $1,053,769 to the United Way. The donations, raised through a combination of personal contributions by Associated employees, internal events and corporate support, are part of the company's annual workplace giving campaign.

“Associated is pleased to make a donation to the United Way on behalf of our corporate giving campaign,” said Philip Flynn, president and CEO for Associated Banc-Corp. "We strive to meet our community's local needs and we are able to do so through supporting the United Way with our monetary gifts and employee volunteerism efforts, both of which help our friends, colleagues and neighbors."

Associated has a long history of investing in its communities through charitable contributions, sponsorships, workplace giving, and volunteerism. This year, in addition to raising money, 900 Associated colleagues donated more than 3,000 hours of their time to the campaign by volunteering with non-profit organizations through the company's annual "Days of Caring."

“We successfully built on last year’s strong campaign and increased our overall level of contribution in 2013,” said David Stein, executive vice president and head of retail banking and Associated's corporate United Way campaign chair. “Associated colleagues demonstrated their unwavering commitment to the communities where they live and serve as shown in the 19.5% increase from last year in participation through the Days of Caring volunteer activities. Our colleagues take great pride in their generosity to the United Way.”
