GREEN BAY, Wis – January 13, 2014 - Cliff Bowers has been hired as senior vice president, director of public relations where he will lead the public relations strategy and work collaboratively as part of Associated Bank’s Corporate Communications team.
Bowers is a senior management professional with more than 30 years of experience in corporate communications. He is well regarded for the development and implementation of communications programs that support organizational strategy and goals. Prior to joining Associated, Bowers served as communications manager with NewPage Corporation, a leading producer of printing and specialty paper in North America. His communications experience also includes senior communications positions with American Medical Security Group, Fort Howard Corporation, Packaging Corporation of America, Manvillle Corporation and Brunswick Corporation.
A graduate of the University of Wisconsin – Oshkosh, Bowers earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism. He is an award-winning communications professional and past recipient of the Public Relations Society of America Silver Anvil Award, IABC Gold Quill Award, and UW-Green Bay Communicator of the Year Award.
Bowers has had an extensive commitment to the community including service as a member of the board of Partners in Education, Institute for Learning Partnership, UW-Green Bay Founders Association, United Way of Brown County, and the Green Bay Area Chamber of Commerce. He also served as co-chair of the board of the American Foundation of Counseling Services and board chair of Encompass Early Education & Care.

Brian Maurice has joined the Associated Bank tax division as tax director. In this capacity, he is responsible for overseeing the bank’s tax compliance, tax planning and completion of federal and state income tax returns. Maurice coordinates with lines of business, service providers, and his team to manage the overall accounting practices of the bank.
An experienced manager in corporate taxation and accounting management, Maurice brings nine years of experience to this position. Previously, he served as senior tax manager with Baker Tilly Virchow Krause performing detail and high level reviews of federal and state income tax returns for corporations and reviewing and preparing client-prepared income tax provisions and financial statements.
Maurice is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee earning a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in accounting and a master’s degree in taxation. Professionally, he is a certified public accountant and member of the Wisconsin Institute of Certified Public Accountants and American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Tarina Williams joins Associated Bank as senior vice president, enterprise project office manager where she is responsible for defining and assisting in the development of Associated-wide project/program management practices, governance standards, procedures and best practices. Williams works closely with all lines of business to ensure enterprise initiatives are aligned to corporate and IT strategy and business objectives.
With a wealth of experience in retail, technology, strategy and planning, prior to joining Associated Bank, Williams served as managing consultant with Paradigm Consulting. In this role, she was responsible for reducing project spending from $7 million in requests to $3.2 million in approvals to facilitate company response to a changing business environment.
Williams earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in international business from Howard University, Master’s in Business Administration degree in international business from Lake Forest Graduate School of Management, and a master’s degree in computer science from the Northwestern University. She holds PMP and ITIL certifications.
Professionally, Williams serves as a member of the Project Management Institute, Women in Technology International, Toastmasters International, Information Systems Audit and Control Association, Best Practice Institute, and Association of Business Process Management.
