MILWAUKEE – March 27, 2013 – Associated Bank has announced four new leaders as part of its Milwaukee area team.
Jason Makowski has been promoted to senior vice president, commercial project office director. In this role he is responsible for ensuring project management best practices are used for the bank’s commercial banking business lines in order to improve customer-related projects. Makowski was previously vice president, project manager. He has more than five years of experience working in this area and holds the designation of project management professional. He is located in the Associated offices at 330 E. Kilbourn Ave., Milwaukee.
Steve Opichka has joined Associated as senior vice president, senior director of retail lending operations where he will lead and direct the execution of underwriting, processing, closing, compliance and investor, and post-closing functions related to residential lending. With 23 years of experience in banking and retail lending, Opichka comes to Associated most recently from BMO Harris Bank. He is an Accredited Mortgage Professional and a graduate of the University of Wisconsin – Oshkosh. His office is located at 3935 W. Mitchell St., Milwaukee.
Jamie Mesa has been hired as vice president, operations legal manager. She is responsible for the bankruptcy, litigation, claims, accounts payable and vendor management departments at Associated as well as all regulatory requirements and the FNMA Star Program. Mesa comes to Associated from Aldridge Connors, LLP where she was director of process improvement and project management. Her office is located at in Associated’s corporate offices at 330 E. Kilbourn Ave., Milwaukee.
Ramona Stadler joins Associated as the branch manager at the Associated Bank located in the Woodman’s Food Market at 8131 S. Howell Ave., Oak Creek. She is responsible for managing the overall operations of the branch while directing activities to help maintain and develop business and consumer relationships. She comes to Associated from UW-Milwaukee where she was a financial program specialist, but brings with her 18 years of previous banking experience.
