Associated Banc-Corp continues to grow its Chicago leadership team
CHICAGO - Nov. 28, 2011 - Associated Banc-Corp continues to grow with the promotion and hiring of four new leaders in the Chicago area
Claudio Montoya has been promoted to vice president, business banker III. He is responsible for assisting new and existing business customers with their banking needs, including helping them with checking and money market accounts, loans, lines of credit, merchant services and payroll products. Montoya has been with Associated for almost two years serving as a business development officer, and has more than 15 years of banking experience. He is fluid in both English and Spanish, and is very active in the Latin American community serving as a member of the Latin American Chamber of Commerce and president of the Peruvian Arts Society. His office is located at 130 E. Randolph Street, Chicago.
Mercedes Pesantez has been hired as vice president, enterprise risk manager where she is responsible for Associated's partnerships with specialized industries clients in the areas of commercial financial services, credit risk management, commercial real estate, commercial middle market and regional banking. She also helps Associated's business lines identify risks in their areas. She comes to Associated from BMO Harris Bank where she was an assistant vice president, risk manager. Pesantez brings nine years of experience to her new role as well as a masters of business administration in finance and international business which she earned from North Park University. She is also an adjunct commerce professor at Northwestern University. Pesantez' office is at 5200 North Central Avenue, Chicago.
Dale Sorenson has been hired as vice president, treasury management sales and service representative. In this capacity he is responsible for working with real estate and other specialized industries clients to help them manage their financial matters. He joins Associated from Treasury Strategies, Inc. where he was the principal. He brings 30 years of experience to the position. He is active in the community serving as a member of the Citizens Advisory Committee for Budgeting for Oak Park School District 97 and a team leader for the Youth Baseball League. He is a graduate of Cornell College and earned both his master degree of business administration in finance and his doctorate in history from Indiana University. His office is located in the AON Center at 200 E. Randolph Street, Chicago.
Mark Vorel has been hired as vice president, treasury management sales and service representative. In this capacity he too works with real estate and other specialized industries clients to help them manage their financial matters. Vorel joins Associated from The Northern Trust Company where he was a treasury management product manager. He brings 28 years of experience to his new position. Sorensen volunteers as a member of the board of governors at Elmhurst Memorial Hospital. His office is in the AON Center at 200 E. Randolph Street, Chicago.
