Kyle Rucker was a second year student at the University of Minnesota when he developed the idea of Project Footsteps. What started as an idea has quickly transformed into a movement dedicated to improving tomorrow by empowering young people to be leaders and change agents today.

It was five years ago when Rucker, founder and executive director of Project Footsteps, headquartered in Minneapolis, walked in Associated Bank to open Project Footsteps’ business banking checking account.

“Since then, Associated has been a remarkable partner of Project Footsteps,” said Kyle Rucker, executive director, Project Footsteps. “Associated has been the first and only bank that Project Footsteps has done business with.”

Associated recently donated 56 piggy banks to support Project Footsteps’ fundraising campaign, “It’s Just Change!”

“The average household or individual has between $20-$30 in loose change on hand, any given month, and we’re giving them the opportunity to donate that change,” said Rucker.

Project Footsteps is a national non-profit organization headquartered in Minneapolis, MN, whose mission is to inspire, empower, and prepare youth and community to be agents of change and social leaders in action!
