Savage Associated Bank recently relocated from its previous branch at 12302 Princeton Avenue in Savage, Minnesota, to 7533 Egan Drive.

The branch relocated to provide a more convenient location for customers and serve the expanded Savage community through its centralized retail location. The branch features a more revitalized layout than the existing Princeton Avenue location, reflecting the updated Associated brand style.

"Our new Egan Drive branch is not only convenient for the residents of Savage, but provides convenience to Prior Lake, Shakopee and Burnsville residents as well," said Steve Steen, Regional Retail Director, Associated Bank. "Our hope is that the relocation of our Savage branch creates a strong sense of community by connecting neighboring areas such as Eden Prairie where Associated is slated to open its first branch in the community in October."

At the new location the branch will continue to provide support for the communities it serves. "The Savage branch employees have been very involved in the community," said Nicole Maxwell, Branch Manager at the Savage location. "The branch has provided in-kind support to Dan Patch Days the last two years and continues to provide support through volunteering opportunities."

Renovations at the new location will enhance the overall customers' banking experience. The new branch will feature a drive-up ATM and safe deposit boxes. The bank will continue building upon existing partnerships in commercial, leasing, residential mortgage, and business development.

The company's plans for celebrating the grand opening of its new branch location is set for Friday, August 26 at 10 a.m. Mayor Janet Williams, fellow Savage community ambassadors, and the Savage Chamber of Commerce will be in attendance.

"Our colleagues have enjoyed participating in various community events and look forward to giving back each year," said Maxwell. "We take great pride in the relationships we have built in this community and are excited to continue these relationships at our new location. We are proud to be a part of the Savage community."

During the grand opening ceremony, the branch will donate $1,000 to the Scott Carver Dakota CAP Agency for their outstanding work throughout the community. The Scott Carver Dakota CAP Agency is a private, non-profit organization dedicated to assisting and empowering nearly 50,000 individuals and families annually. The organization offers 26 programs and services total including Head Start, Weatherization, Housing, Senior Nutrition, Food Shelf and Energy Assistance.

"As a branch we chose the Scott Carver Dakota CAP Agency because they provide a wide variety of services to those in need in Scott County," said Maxwell. "They provide not only the basics of a food shelf along with a WIC program, but also housing services to those that are at risk of becoming homeless."

Grand opening specials will be available for new customers and existing customers of the bank. New customers who open a checking account at the Egan Drive branch will receive a $100 cash bonus as well as a free first order of Associated Bank logo checks. The promotion will run from August 22 through September 30. From September 1 through 30 the branch will host a "scan and win" promotion, where anyone receiving a game piece inserted into local publications can bring the game piece into the new Savage location to be scanned and win a prize. Everyone is a winner. The grand prize is a Barnes and Noble "NOOK™" reader and other prizes include five Eclipse 4MB media players.
