Associated Bank recently teamed up with the Green Bay Packers for their eighth annual ‘Green Bay Packers Tailgate Tour.’ The Packers stopped in Oshkosh, Beloit, Dubuque, Tomah and Wisconsin Rapids to host tailgate parties in conjunction with nonprofits in each city. In addition, Packers President and CEO Mark Murphy, players Jarrett Bush, Randall Cobb and Alex Green, and Packers alumni Santana Dotson, Aaron Taylor and Frank Winters visited with customers and fans to thank them for their ongoing support.
At each location, the Packers presented a monetary donation on behalf of Associated to Christine Ann Domestic Abuse Services Inc., Beloit Regional Hospice, Opportunity Development Centers Inc., Camp Albrecht Acres and Tomah Area Cancer Support Inc.
Wrapping up the tour, the Packers made a surprise visit to Associated’s Wisconsin Rapids branch. Geoff Roemerman, Assistant Vice President & Senior Bank Manager at Associated Bank, describes the experience.
“The Packer players were extremely friendly, and great with both our customers and employees. There was a family in the branch during the surprise visit that were overjoyed with meeting the players. The players took pictures with everyone present, and signed items for the employees that were here. It was definitely a memorable experience.”
During the tour more than $300,000 was raised through ticket purchases and donations with 100 percent of the proceeds from the tour going to the hosting nonprofits.
